Just wanted to let everyone know that this weekend, April 1st, 2nd and 3rd in Kenner is the Festa Italiana. Every year a group of us work the Sicilian Genealogy room (Saturday and Sunday only) where we help people at the Festa research their family history with online resources. I’m always amazed at the huge turnout and the many Usticesi descendants that I get the pleasure of meeting. The Festa also has an excellent photo exhibit of the Italian families of Kenner which include Cristina, Maggiore, Palmisano and many others from Ustica. Also on the horizon is the CSBA family picnic on Saturday April 16th, 11am at our usual spot, shelter 5 in Lafreniere Park, Metairie. Hope to see many of you there!
